GTA 6 PC release date: what is actually confirmed?
There is no official GTA 6 PC release date. Rockstar lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026, but it has not announced a PC version, PC preorder or PC system requirements.
At Take-Two’s September 17 shareholder meeting, CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company generally aims to reach viable platforms with meaningful audiences. That makes PC relevant to the company’s wider strategy, but it is not a GTA 6 PC confirmation or release window.
Wait for PC, or play at console launch?
Wait if you mainly play on PC and do not want another platform. Keep your current setup and hold off on a GPU or storage upgrade supposedly needed for GTA VI. There are no official PC requirements or date to justify that expense.
Consider a console if playing at the announced launch matters to you. First check whether you already own a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. If you do, Rockstar lists it as supported; a new console is unnecessary just to be eligible. If you do not, compare the total cost of a console, game, taxes and any accessories you actually need in the budget calculator.
Does Take-Two’s latest comment confirm a PC port?
No. The September shareholder-meeting answer supports the idea that PC matters to Take-Two, but neither Take-Two nor Rockstar gave GTA 6 a PC date, storefront or specification list. The careful conclusion is: a later PC version may be plausible, but its timing remains unknown.
This page will change only when Rockstar or Take-Two provides a specific, attributable update. It will not convert a general executive comment into a countdown.
Which console makes sense for a PC player?
PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S are on Rockstar’s announced list. Compare your existing games, friends, preferred controller and local prices. Series S has no disc drive; if your other games are on disc, check the exact console model before you buy. Rockstar says the GTA VI physical box itself contains a download code rather than a disc.
No final GTA VI console frame-rate comparison has been confirmed here. Do not pay extra for a rumored mode. Use the PS5 versus Xbox guide or the console picker to narrow your options.
What about Steam, a PC preorder or minimum specs?
Rockstar’s announced platform information does not list a PC storefront, PC preorder, release date or system requirements. Treat exact dates and PC specification lists elsewhere as predictions unless Rockstar publishes them. Avoid game-code offers that claim to grant access to an unannounced PC version.
GTA 6 PC questions, answered
When will GTA 6 come out on PC?
No date has been announced. November 19, 2026 is the console release date, not a PC date.
Can I preorder GTA 6 on Steam or Epic Games Store?
There is no official PC preorder or announced PC storefront. Do not pay for unofficial PC keys.
Should I upgrade my PC for GTA 6 now?
No GTA 6 PC requirements exist yet, so buying a GPU, CPU or SSD specifically for the game would be guesswork. Wait for an official PC announcement and published requirements.
